Limnos Quartet was born 2005 in France, where the four saxophonists met during their mastery studies of the instrument, in order to make known the saxophone in its different facets.

They have performed at numerous concert halls and festivals in Spain and in France, with a program that explores the versatility of this formation. They interpret from a representative repertoire of the traditional school of saxophone to transcriptions of original works from other groups, to a wide range of works by contemporary composers.

In 2011 it won the third prize at the III Yamaha International Competition for SaxophoneQuartet held in Madrid. It was also finalist in the “I Concurso Internacional de Música de Cámara La Porta Clàssica-Matas i Ramis”.
