Scirocco Duo Performance
Scirocco Duo / contemporary
The Scirocco duo presents a recital concert for saxophone and organ with a new piece composed by Eric Lebrun, “le sommeil d’Endimyos”, and Thierry Escaich’s pièce “le chant des ténèbres”.
Biography
Duo saxophone and organ created in 2007, the Scirocco Duo has performed in numerous organ festivals (International Festival of the organ of Flanders, International Festival of the organ of the Basque Country …). Anxious to create a quality repertory for this group, Scirocco duo members are particularly attentive to contemporary creation, commissioning composers of our time or recording young composers works (as the case of “cristal de temps” composer Thomas Lacote, released by the Hortus label in 2013).
More informations
In continuation of its commissioning activity and repertory creation, the Scirocco duo presents for Congress a new piece by French composer Eric Lebrun, “le sommeil d’Endimyos” and a rare but effective version of Thierry Escaich’s pièce “le chant des ténèbres”.
