Saxos de Honduras, will perform Honduran musical works specifically arranged for the ensemble, which is the first and currently the only one doing this kind of interpretation of country songs.
The performance at the PréO on June 12nd will be followed by the screening of the World Streaming Show.
Biography
The Group Saxos Honduras born in 2007, thanks to the initiative of Hector Soto, Ariel Lagos and Iris Rodriguez. Its official debut took place in the first edition of SaxFest Costa Rica International, has since been presented continuously in four editions (’07, ’08, `09,` 11).
They have shared the stage with major ensembles of Honduras, such as: The Band of the Supreme Powers (National Band of the country), various popular bands and important events in different cities in Honduras. His repertoire includes distinctly Honduran specially arranged for this ensemble, which is the first and currently the only one of its kind operating in the country songs. This musical repertoire allows a wide range of sonic possibilities with the primary aim of reviving the Honduran music of the early 60`sy 70`
