Solo recital featuring saxophonist Sarah Markham performing new works for solo saxophone. She will be joined at the end of her recital by saxophonist Michael Duke and pianist Paul Turner.
Biography
Sarah Markham is a highly regarded saxophonist, performing throughout Europe, America, Canada, and the Far East. A vibrant and inspiring performer featured in the last six World Saxophone Congresses, she has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. As a chamber musician she works with pianist Paul Turner, ReedPlay, Music of Renown Ensemble and Equinox. In 2013 Sarah embarked on a UK ‘Duo Sax’ tour with Australian saxophonist Michael Duke. In 2014 she was a recitalist at the New England Saxophone Symposium, and in 2015 performed with saxophonist Jerome Laran in Paris. Sarah has released seven CDs of solo and chamber music. Sarah is Artistic Director of the record label Saxophone Classics, and also a Yamaha Performing Artist and a Vandoren Performing Artist.
