Nele Tiebout plays with shadows on a sheet in the foreground of the stage, to tell a story with both music and visual expression.
Biography
Graduate of the ‘Stedelijke Muziekacademie Waregem’. Further studies at the ‘Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel’ (where she was thaught by Norbert Nozy). Thanks to the Erasmus programme, also studied at the ‘Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional’ in Boulogne-Billancourt under Jean Michel Goury. Finished Master degree in Brussels and Cycle d’Orientation Profesionnel/ Cycle de Perfectionnement at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles under Vincent David.
She has impressed in a number of competitions, including the ‘Competition for Young Saxophonists (Dinant 2009), Dexia Classics (Brussels 2010) and the 4th World Music Competition (Kerkrade 2011).

I will put a light in the back and a big white sheet in the front, in between I will ‘tell a story’ through shadows while playing.
