Nathan Mensink and Derek Smith, who recently created a new duo – Silver Duo, will premiere several new pieces for alto saxophone and clarinet.
Biography
Nathan Mensink and Derek Smith have recently created a new duo, Silver Duo, which has already been featured in several performances throughout the state. Both are graduate teaching assistants at the University of Miami pursuing a doctoral degree in Saxophone Performance and Multiple Woodwinds respectively. Silver Duo was invited to be the main performers of the Frontwave New Music Festival in West Palm Beach, as well as several performances at the University of Miami.

We would like to present several new pieces, currently being written, for alto saxophone and clarinet. We have invited several composer from the University of Miami area to compose new works for us to be premiered at the world sax congress this summer.
