More informations

This project will be a presentation of two works, the first piece is for saxophone duo and the second piece for saxophone duo with prepared piano and electronics. The first piece we propose is a World Premier for saxophone duo by world renowned Canadian composer Bruce Mather. This piece will be for soprano and tenor saxophone using microtonal intervals with complex rythmic organization.
The second piece we propose is a trio (two saxophones with piano and electronics) written by Ana Dall’Ara Majek intitled “Alice complice” from the text “Petits fantômes mélancoliques” by writer Louise Bombardier. This piece is interesting for the interaction between the performers in differents theatrical acts and also the uses of different types of saxophone sounds mixed with the prepared piano and the electronics. This piece has been premiered by Jean-François Guay and Alfredo Mendoza in April 2014 and has also been recorded on a new CD released in November 2014.
