More informations

The idea of this project was born from these composers during my course of study divided between two realities and different facets such as Italy and France.
The desire to spread attention to the modern musical heritage of French and Italy are the basis of the project “The saxophone between France and Italy”.
Here, three different ideas to see art and aesthetics in contemporary culture.
Notturno, a work composed in 1988 by the Italian composer Luca Francesconi is the right beginning of a surreal atmosphere, linked to sounds and swaying modes where the saxophone gradually changes from seeking dynamic and sounds until find a final solution, an experiment, a language that becomes surreal.
Voice of Australia, is a joint work of the composer Sophie Lacaze, original piece for flute, here adapted and expanded for soprano saxophone, with the soundtrack adapted to clear and repetitive patterns, Voice of Australia is a testing ground joint, where the listener will be the center of a different creative and perceptive dialogue.
L’Allegro Chirurgo, is a work of the Venetian composer Mauro Lanza for Tenor Saxophone solo. Its name and its compositional structure reminiscent of the game “docteur maboul”. An original production, a composition with music and plots virtuosic, always woven together with a solution of continuity. A real surprise for the listener.

In a contemporary society in perpetual transformation, communication and expression are the basis of the act of interpretation. It’s with this spirit that “The saxophone between France and Italy” is a trip between the visions of three saxophone’s contemporary composers: Luca Francesconi, Sophie Lacaze and Mauro Lanza. Modern intrusion of these composers in the saxophones of references: the alto, soprano and tenor.
